Are degrees issued by Global Baptist Bible College legal?
Global Baptist Bible College (GBBC) operates under the authority of Fargo Baptist Church in Fargo, North Dakota, USA. The State of North Dakota recognizes the 1st amendment rights of churches embedded in the United States Constitution. Therefore, the state and federal government has no jurisdiction to regulate the ministry of a local church including church-run Bible colleges like GBBC. Global Baptist Bible College is fully compliant with state and federal law and is legally authorized to award ministry degrees such as the Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Studies.
Is Global Baptist Bible College Accredited?
GBBC's curriculum is a 3-year course of study for students outside the USA. After finishing the final course, students will be able to download their “Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Studies” degree. GBBC degrees are approved by Fargo Baptist Church and Master’s Baptist College for ministry training purposes. GBBC is not accredited by any government or international accrediting agency as it is unlikely that any foreign government, university, or secular institution will recognize a Bible college degree for official or academic use.
GBBC exists to train men and women for Christian service in the local church. Our focus is on ministry training, not on meeting government or university accreditation standards. Each local church or ministry decides for itself whether to accept GBBC’s courses or degree. If you plan to pursue further education or employment, it is your responsibility to confirm that GBBC’s degree will meet their requirements.
